Two hereditary platelet disorders, Bernard-Soulier syndrome and Glanzmann's
thrombasthenia, are characterized by selective deficiencies of platelet membrane
glycoproteins. Murine monoclonal antibodies were developed against platelet membrane
glycoprotein Ib and against the glycoprotein IIb/IIIa complex. A rapid whole blood assay for
